Each year, the organizations offer a one-year membership to a small number of attorneys who have earned the right to carry the title based on their outstanding contributions to their practices, communities, and the legal world as a whole.
Donati Law, PLLC of Memphis is excited to be able to announce that not one but four of our attorneys have earned either a 2020 Super Lawyers® or 2020 Rising Stars℠ recognition. As a law firm that is continually looking for ways to better serve our clients, these recent recognitions serve as clear encouragements to stick to our principles.
Our attorneys who were recognized by Super Lawyers® 2020 are:
- William “Billy” Ryan: William was selected for his work in Employment Litigation – Plaintiff, Personal Injury – General: Plaintiff, and Workers’ Compensation. He has also been named to Super Lawyers® in 2006, as well as every year from 2009 to 2019.
- Don Donati: Don was selected for his work in Employment & Labor – Employee, Personal Injury – General: Plaintiff, and Military/Veterans Law. He has also been named to Super Lawyers® every year from 2006 to 2019.
- Bryce Ashby: Bryce was selected for his work in Employment Litigation – Plaintiff. He has been a Super Lawyers® member in 2019, and he also earned Rising Stars℠ selections each year from 2012 to 2018.
Additionally, Attorney Janelle Crandall Osowski was selected to be a 2020 Rising Stars℠ member for her work in Employment Litigation – Plaintiff. She has earned a Rising Stars℠ membership each year since 2014.

What is a Super Lawyers® Member?
Super Lawyers® uses a patented multistep selection process to decide which attorneys are deserving of its membership each year. The process begins with nominations from legal peers, clients, and other third parties that have worked with the nominee. Next, independent research is used to look into the nominee’s background, including their settlements, verdicts, total experience, other professional awards, pro bono work, scholarly writings, and much more. A peer evaluation from a Blue Ribbon Panel of highly-esteemed legal professionals chooses the final nominees, who are declared as the winners once a final background check for good standing with legal bars is made.
When all of the nominees are researched and narrowed down, the Super Lawyers® final selection will not include more than 5% of practicing, eligible attorneys. The Rising Stars℠ selection process is the same, except it only considers attorneys who have less than 10 years of experience or who are younger than 40 years old. The extra restrictions mean no more than 2.5% of all practicing, eligible attorneys will be a Rising Stars℠ member each year.
